Jennifer González holds a Bachelor in Chemical Engineering from the University of Castellon and a Master's Degree in Ceramics Materials Science, Technology and Applications from the same university.


Her first contact with research, took place during the Academic Year 2011/2012 when she held a Cooperation fellowship and worked together with some of the members of the PIMA Group.  She also worked 6 months at the Physics department in a Prometeo Project.


She is from 2013 a researcher at the University of Castellon, involved in the 'Polymers for packaging industry' research line.

Mª José Gimeno Pérez holds a Bachelor in Chemical Engineering from the Jaume I University  in Castellon and a Master's Degree in Ceramic Materials Science, Technology and Applications from the same university, where she defended a Master thesis entitled ‘’Wollastonite as anticorrosive pigments support’’. Her first contact with research took place during the Academic Year 2005/2006 when she held a Cooperation fellowship in the Chemical Engineering department.


With previous experience in the tile industry, she incorporated in Mediciones y Corrosión S.L. company from the moment of its creation (2007) as a Head of Quality, Technical and R&D management. Medco S.L. is a technology-based spin-off company of the Jaume I University dedicated to the development of equipment and accelerated electrochemical techniques for assessment of coatings, specifically marketed the Accelerated Cyclic Electrochemical Technique (ACET - DIN 48315, ISO / CD 17463), which evaluates the performance anticorrosive coating in 24 hours.


She is from February 2013 a researcher at the University of Castellon donig her PhD thesis involved in the correlation between traditional corrosion test and electrochemical techniques.

Francisco J. Romero Gavilán

Francisco J. Romero holds a Bachelor in Chemical Engineering from the Universitat Jaume I of Castellon and a Master's Degree in Ceramics Materials Science, Technology and Applications from the same university.

He began working in PIMA group in 2013 through a cooperation fellowship, working on materials for biomedical applications.

 

In 2015 he became a PhD student and his work is involved in the research of biomaterials for bone regeneration.

Nuno A. Gomes

Nuno A. Gomes holds a Bachelor in Biology from the Aveiro University in Portugal and a Master's Degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the same university. With previous experience in Molecular Microbiology in the Faculty of Medicine University of Porto where he carried out his Master's thesis, Nuno got in touch for the first time with Biomaterials in 2014 as a Santiago Grísolia grant holder.

He became a PhD student in the University Jaume I of Castellón in 2015 where he undertakes in vitro and in vivo studies related to Biomaterials involved in bone regeneration.

Estefanía Sánchez holds a Bachelor in Chemical Engineering from the University Jaume I of Castellon and a Master's Degree in Ceramics Materials Science, Technology and Applications from the same university.

 

Her first contact with research took place during the Academic Year 2011/2012 when she held a Cooperation fellowship in the PIMA

Group. She has maintained her contact with the group participating on various projects with research fellowships.

 

From october 2014 to january 2016 she worked as a laboratory technician at the Materials Science Area. 

 

She is from march 2014 a PhD student and her work is involved in the 'Polymers for packaging industry' research line.

Adrià Monferrer Garcia holds a Bachelor in Industrial Technology Engineering from the Universitat Jaume I. He is currently studying the Master of Industrial Engineering. He joined the PIMA group in 2014 where he is involved in the characterization and development of anticorrosive coatings while he completes his studies.

Braulio Beltrán Pitarch holds a Bachelor in Industrial Technology Engineering from the Universitat Jaume I. He joined the PIMA group in April 2016 to work in the new research line of thermoelectricity. He shares his activity in the group with the Master of Industrial Engineering he is currently studying. He is involved in the development of new characterisation methods and measuring systems for thermoelectric materials.

Alejandra Muñoz holds a Bachelor in Chemical Engineering from the Universitat Jaume I and is currently studying the Master in Energy Efficiency and Sustainability in our University. He is developing his Master Thesis entitled "Clay-polymer aerogel systems for enhanced thermal insulation applications" in the PIMA group in the new research line of polymer-clay aerogels.
