Predoctoral position offered

Pre-doctoral contract offered within a funded Research Project to work in: “Development and Characterization of a Bio-based High Barrier Multilayer Concept with Active and Bioactive Properties for Food Packaging". Candidates should hold a degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or similar. Candidates should have a high level of English (B2 or higher).

Nanotec 2016

The Institute of Agrochemistry and Food Technology (IATA-CSIC), together with the PIMA Group will organize the NANOTEC 2016 Conference "International Conference on Nanotechnology Applications"
NANOTEC 2016 is a technical conference that intends to provide a technical-commercial platform to introduce innovative plastic based nanotechnologies aiming at enhancing plastics performance. The conference will be divided in 3 tematic blocks in each of them, counting with the participation of several well-known speakers coming from different countries.
The Conference will be held in Valencia the 26th and 27th of September.
Predoctoral position offered

Three years pre-doctoral contract offered under a "Santiago Grisolía Scholarship" to work in: “Development of fully biodegradable and thermoformable packaging, with enhanced barrier and mechanical properties". The work will be developed between the Institute of Agrochemistry and Food Technology (IATA-CSIC) in Valencia and the Universitat Jaume I in Castellón. Candidates should hold a degree from a non-Spanish University obained after 01/01/2013. The degree should be accredited in Spain.

New PhD in the group

María José Gimeno successfully passed her PhD viva on the 18th of February. Her thesis "Evaluación de pigmentos anticorrosivos mediante técnicas electroquímicas. Correlación con niebla salina" obtained the maximum mark and represents a very interesting work to provide faster corrosion evaluation adapted to the industry standards. We would like to congratulate her for her nice work.
