Universitat Jaume I
Building on the foundations of the University College of Castellón dating back to 1969, the Universitat Jaume I (UJI) was created on 27 February 1991. From the moment it was set up, UJI has strived to become a modern, high quality University with a clear European orientation, whose purpose is to attain a high level of excellence in the teaching, research and services it offers to society.
Universitat Jaume I is currently the leading higher education institution in the north of the Valencian Region, offering more than 40 degrees to its over 14.000 students through its 3 centers:

Universitat Jaume I devotes special efforts to research and development activities, aware of its duty to society, and provides its researchers with modern equipment and with a well funded Promotion Research Programme. UJI is one of the top Spanish universities in obtaining external resources per researcher, and has a high rate of knowledge transfer activities coverage (during 2010, 819 of its members were involved in the execution of publicly funded projects of subcontracted research).
