Raquel Oliver Valls holds a B.E. in Industrial Design from the University of Castellon and worked for 6 years designing equipment for the ceramic industry. In 2001 she regained contact with the University, participating on various projects with research fellowships.
Since 2004 she works as Laboratory Technician in the Materials Science Area, where her work combines support to research with support to teaching. She has been involved in previous projects of the Area and is currently involved in all the PIMA ongoing research projects. She has specific training in subjects such as: plastic materials, ceramic materials, manufacturing processes, colorimetry and computer design tools.
José Ortega Herreros

José Ortega Herreros is a Laboratory Specialist Technician, in charge of the laboratories that belong to the Material Sciences Area. His job involves providing support to teaching (subjects in different Engineering degrees) and to research projects in the facilities he overviews.
Worker of the University of Castellon since 1995, he has cooperated in several research projects related to powder coatings, corrosion (in particular natural exposure), and control polymers for packaging. During this period he has worked with all the researchers and Ph.D. students of the Area, and has gained a thorough knowledge of sample preparation, equipment maintenance, and testing practice.
