Montserrat Puig Brugal holds a Bachelor in Chemical Engineering from the University Jaume I of Castellon and a Master's Degree in Ceramic Materials Science, Technology and Applications from the same university.

 

Since 2011, she worked as a researcher at the PIMA group and undertook her doctoral studies under the supervision of Professor Julio José Suay. During the doctoral research, her work was focused on the development of new high performance anti corrosion powder coatings using organo-modified silica particles and corrosion inhibitors.

 

In 2014, after having worked for some months as a responsible of analysis and coatings at the university spin-off Mediciones y Corrosion, she joined PIMA group again as a Postdoctoral researcher.

 

Javier Molina Castellanos

Javier Molina Castellanos holds a Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering from the Rafael Landívar University (Guatemala) awarded with the honor title of Magna Cum Laude . He has a Master's degree in Sustainable Chemistry from the Polythechnic University of Valencia where he defended a Master thesis entitled "Synthesis, Characterization and catalytic behaviour of metal oxide bronzes as catalysts in the selective oxidation of hydrogen sulphide". In 2012 he was awarded with a Santiago Grisolía fellowship to be enrolled in the Materials and Industrial Technology PhD program form the Jaume I University in Castellón



His professional experience was in Central American Brewery (Guatemala) as a Quality Control Manager between 2008 and 2011. He is from September 2012 a researcher at the Jaume I University, involved in the development of new high performance coatings and electrochemical techniques for its evaluation.

Sara da Silva Barros

Sara Barros holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Porto–IPP (Portugal) and a Master of Industrial Safety and Environment from the Technical University of Valencia–UPV, where she defended a Master thesis entitled “Tribocorrosion study of  biomedical alloy Ti6Al4V manufactured by powder metallurgy and forging”.


Her first professional experience was in SONAE-SIR, S.A. (Portugal) dealing with thermo laminates, as Production Engineer; the report of this experience (a requirement to access a Professional Association in this country) was awarded the “Best Chemical Work 2008 Prize” by the Engineers’ Professional Association of North Portugal-OERN.  She is from January 2011 a researcher at the University of Castellon, involved in the SOLDENT project and preparing a Ph.D. related to the ongoing research. She is since November 2011 also the project manager of the group.

Irene Lara Saéz

Irene Lara Saéz licenciate (B.Sc. and M.Sc.) in Biology and B.Sc. in Podiatry, both form the University of Valencia, and has a Master´s Degree in Biomedical Biotechnology at the Technical University of Valencia–UPV.
Thanks to the knowledge acquired during her studies, and specially her skills in surgery, she has been involved since 2008 in research projects related to biomaterials, first at the Biomedical Research Networking Centre on Bioengineering, Biomaterials and Nanomedicine - CIBER-BBN, and afterwards at the Biomechanics Institute of Valencia-IBV.


She is from April 2011 a researcher at the University of Castellon involved in the SOLDENT project, where she is in charge of the in vivo and in vitro evaluation, the results of which will be the basis for her future Ph.D. Dissertation.
