Polymers and Advanced Materials Group
PIMA is a young research group founded in 2010, gathering researchers at the Univerisitat Jaume I of Castellon that had been previously working together. We all share common research interests, and a common understanding of the role of a public university.
Our expertise lies in the area of Materials Sciences and Engineering, and our work is structured in five research lines: Polymers for the packaging industry, Polymers for clean energy, Materials for biomedical applications, Functional coatings, and Corrosion protection.
Some of our members had been previously working at other entities, and with them and with our project partners, we mantain close links.

To generate and transfer applied knowledge in the area of advance materials, to boost the innovation capacity of the companies we work with.

To be an international recognized research group for our contribution to tackle the challenges of the contemporary societies.
